This Week's Spelling & Vocabulary (8/31-9/4)

Spelling: 5th Grade Frequently Misspelled Words

Tuesday: Write spelling words in agenda in ABC order – due Tues.

Due Wednesday: spelling 5x each (4x in print, 1x in cursive) [Because grades were so poor on last week's test, MOST students have to write this week's words 5x. If you did well on the test, then you only have to write this week's words 3x because you are obviously studying.]

Vocabulary List #4

Ø Write a fabulous 5th grade sentence using each vocabulary word (total of 6 sentences)– due Thursday.

Ø Underline the vocabulary word in each sentence.

Ø You must write one declarative sentence, one imperative sentence, one interrogative sentence, one exclamatory sentence, and the last two sentences are free choice of the four types of sentences. At the end of the sentence (after the punctuation mark) label the type of sentence you wrote.

[Because last week's grades were so awful, last week's words will ALSO be on this week's test. Be sure to study all 16 words!]
