Happy Earth Day!
How are you celebrating Earth Day? We'd love to hear what you're doing to help protect our environment.
Today's math CRCT seemed to go well. Mrs. Lewis (who is giving our class the test) reported that the students worked hard. We've gotten a good report each day, so let's keep it up!
Tomorrow is the science CRCT so please study.
Don't forget to study spelling and vocab. Spelling sentences are due tomorrow.
Read AR and work on AM if you need to get caught up!

Please study basic math facts and formulas in preparation for the CRCT (4/20-24). Please also try to finish your AR book and be ready to test when we return. April is National Poetry Month
Our genre for the month coincides with National Poetry Month. We will be studying poetry this month. We will be reading poetry together and learning to write several different types of poems. As part of our project, students are to find at least three published poems to copy, illustrate, and read aloud to the class. The poems they choose should mean something to them or inspired them in some way.
Here is a poem Hannah H. shared with the class and that she will read on the announcements one morning soon:
The Panther
The panther is like a leopard,
Except it hasn't been peppered.
Should you behold a panther crouch,
Prepare to say Ouch.
Better yet, if called by a panther,
Don't anther.
~Ogden Nash
